The Diploma Supplement
It´s a product of the 1997 Convention on the Recognition of Qualifications concerning Higher Education in the European Region (Lisbon Convention). An initiative developed by the Council of Europe, the European Commission and UNESCO in 1998.
The Diploma Supplemet is composed of eight sections (information identifying the holder of the qualification, information on the level of the qualification, information on the contents and results gained, information on the function of the qualification, additional information, certification of the Supplement, information on the national higher education system).
The Diploma Supplemet (DS) is issued from academical year 2004/2005 at the University of Veterinary and Pharmaceutical Sciences Brno according to Act No. 111/1998 on Higher Education Institutions and on Amendments and Supplements to some other Acts (The Higher Education Act) automatically to every student graduating from the Veterinary and Pharmaceutical Sciences Brno along with their original diploma or degree, free of charge, bilingually, it means in English and in Czech language.
At the University of Veterinary and Pharmaceutical Sciences Brno the Diploma Supplemet is issued as a fold blank form – format A3 with ground tint, hologram of the university, stamp of the university, and with the signature of the Rector.
In June 2009 awarded the European Commission the Diploma Supplement Label from 2009 to 2013 to The University of Veterinary and Pharmaceutical Sciences Brno here.
