Open Day on Faculty of Veterinary Medicine

On 3 February 2023, the University of Veterinary Sciences Brno held an Open Day for applicants to the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine. It is very gratifying that the interest in studying at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine is traditionally great. Similarly, this year's meeting of the Faculty representatives with those interested (often accompanied by their parents) in studying the Master's degree programme "Veterinary Medicine", but also with those interested in the new Bachelor's degree programme "Veterinary Assistance", took place in a full lecture hall of the largest university clinic and was very pleasant.

The Vice-Dean MVDr. Jan Chloupek, Ph.D. introduced our University and especially the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in an interesting, apt and often humorous way, and in his presentation, he gave a list of the most important information useful for applicants for the study of veterinary medicine. The Bachelor's degree programme "Veterinary Assistance" was then briefly outlined by MVDr. Lucie Urbanová, Ph.D. — a guarantor of this programme at the University.

After many questions from future veterinary students that were willingly answered not only by Vice-Dean Chloupek and Dr. Urbanová but also by the study officer Andrea Šitavancová, those interested in studying at the University of Veterinary Sciences Brno had the opportunity to see the modern premises of the Clinic of Dogs and Cats, the Clinic of Reptiles, Birds and Small Mammals, as well as the Clinic of Horses and the Clinic of Ruminants and Pigs.

Based on the positive feedback from the participants, the Open Day at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine was a great success and the Faculty is already looking forward to meeting its new students.
