Rector of VETUNI as president of the VetNEST network

VetNEST Annual Meeting 2022 - Ljubljana, Slovenia

On September 15-16, 2022, the annual meeting of members of the VetNEST network took place in Ljubljana, Slovenia, at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine (University of Ljubljana).

One of the items on the agenda was the election of a new president of the VetNEST organization, whose term of office is two years. Rector of VETUNI, Prof. MVDr. Alois Nečas, Ph.D., MBA, was proposed as a candidate for the new president of the organization. In a secret ballot, he was unanimously elected by the members present to the position of President of VetNEST for a two-year term.

VETUNI carries out international cooperation within the VetNEST network (Veterinary Network of European Students and Staff Transfer), which operates under the CEEPUS programme. Veterinary universities/faculties located in Brno, Košice, Vienna, Budapest, Ljubljana, Zagreb, Wroclaw, Sarajevo, Belgrade, Skopje and Tirana are united in this network. Within the network, cooperation and active contacts with universities and faculties providing education in the field of veterinary medicine and creating opportunities for foreign mobility for students and academic staff are strengthened.
