FACJ 1

The course is an introduction into the issues of professional pharmaceutical English. It involves widening of the general fluency level (oral skills, reading skills, writing skills, grammar, vocabulary) with the focus on practical oral skills. Attention is paid to the basics of working with a professional text: the word order study, typical grammar phenomena and text comprehension and reproduction. The topics include pharmaceutical education, human anatomy and physiology, human diseases, drugs, prescription reading, industry abbreviations, etc.

FACJ 2

This is a follow-up course for students who attended FACJ1 course and it provides them with the opportunity to continue building up their Czech pharmaceutical and medical terminology. Throughout the semester students will learn post-beginner Czech grammar, vocabulary and phrases. They will study the other more complicated communication phrases as well as the simple pharmaceutical terminology used for pharmacy consultancy and handling with medical prescriptions.

VACZ

The aim of this course is to become familiar with the basics of Czech which is necessary for veterinary doctors and medical professionals. The course will provide students with basic knowledge of Czech grammar, vocabulary and communication phrases as well as the simple veterinary terminology used for veterinary consultancy and handling with veterinary medical prescriptions.

HACZ

The aim of this course is to become familiar with the basics of Czech which is necessary for veterinary hygiene and ecology professionals. The course will provide students with basic knowledge of Czech grammar, vocabulary and communication phrases as well as the simple food hygiene terminology used for food hygiene consultancy or handling and understanding with food hygiene legislation.
